The directors of Yorkshire-based hostile vehicle mitigation manufacturer, Heald Ltd have completed a gruelling 237-mile bike ride from Kent to Paris in aid
of national charities, Stem4 and Cancer Research UK.
Directors of the family business, Rod and Debbie Heald undertook the challenge in gruelling temperatures of over 30 degrees Celsius to raise almost £5000 for two
national charities, Cancer Research UK and teenage and young adult mental health support organisation, Stem4. Cycling an average of 55 miles per day,
Rod and Debbie were met with many challenges along the way, including flat tyres and a broken spoke and wheel.
Finishing the journey at Notre Dame, Managing Director Debbie Heald commented “It felt like a great achievement to not only finish the bike ride, but to have
raised a great amount for two fantastic charities that have played a large part in supporting those close to us and making a difference to many others across the UK”.
Debbie and Rod are already planning to take part in similar bike ride next year, to continue raising funds for charity. To top up the fundraising efforts, please visit
