PSSA Council
Elects New Vice
Chairs
At the PSSA Council Meeting, held
in February at Arup’s Offices in
London, the Chairman
proposed that two Vice-Chair
positions be created as the
association grows in strength and
notoriety.
The successful candidates were Roger Knight and
John Wood; Roger’s day job is with ATG Access
and he will be taking the lead on Technical issues
and John (from Tata Steel Projects) will be taking
the lead from a Marketing perspective. John is
featured in the 60-second interview this month
with Roger to follow soon (whether he likes it or
not!)
This move to enhance the team is a measure of
the growing success of the PSSA; with the
Verification Scheme now developed, the number
of companies signing up is significantly
increasing. There is also significantly more
interest in the work the PSSA is doing to ‘raise
standards within the perimeter security industry’
both from consultants, other trade bodies and
governmental organisations both in the UK and
abroad.

Your Involvement
We will find out if we have been successful with our second bid
by
May 2014,
but at this initial bid submission stage we would
urgently like to;
1. Gather Industry support to evidence demand for the work
above
2. Invite representatives to register interest to sit on the
Advisory Working Groups directly involved in developing/
reviewing the NOS
Anyone wishing to state their support or take part should
contact:
nos@skillsforsecurity.org.ukstating the project(s) of
