Sadly, the advent of Covid 19 has had a significant impact on people and business throughout the world and does not look likely to get back to anything resembling normal for some time to come (if ever). Lockdown is beginning to ease, and I know that a lot of members who have furloughed staff are now bringing them back to the workplace – a sure sign that business is starting to reboot. Some positives to report include the testing work that has been going on with regard to bridge protection systems in response to a CPNI calling notice. I may not be aware of the full list – but congratulations to member companies Heald, Marshalls and Safetyflex who have all successfully designed and tested products. On behalf of PSSA I would like to extend our sympathies to all of those affected by the virus either directly or indirectly and wish everyone every success as we gradually emerge from the Covid shadow.
