ISSUE 25 December 2019 | NEWS – 3 – The next PSSA industry day Our Security Interact Days are increasing in popularity and are very well attended. The next event is an extended two day showcase taking place on 29th and 30th January 2020 at Woodland Grange, Royal Leamington Spa. A range of presentations are lined up including speakers from the National Vehicle Threat Mitigation Unit, Department for International Trade Defence & Security Organisation) and a temporary HVM specialist. The US specific day will feature high profile presenters encouraging trade between the UK and US. We will once again hold a networking dinner to allow all attendees to enjoy a relaxed evening of socialising with your industry peers. Intersec Dubai The PSSA has teamed up with Eagle Automation to create the first PSSA pavilion at Intersec Dubai. The leading trade show takes place from 19 – 21 January 2020 and with over 30,000 visitors expected we hope to have a high number of visitors. With an excellent position within the Physical and perimeter Security Hall, the large numbers of visitors with perimeter security requirements will give a great opportunity to meet buyers and trade contacts. The PSSA and Eagle Automation will each have their own stands but will be working together to bring visitors to the area. If you’re visiting Intersec Dubai come along to the PSSA pavilion at stands A46 and A48. Safetyflex Barriers crowned ‘Company of the Year’ at Business awards Coventry-based Safety ex Barriers is celebrating after being crowned ‘Company of the Year’ at the Coventry Telegraph Business Awards 2019. The leading manufacturer of anti-terrorist security bollards won the ‘International Trade and Export of the Year Award’ - and was then chosen from 12 category winners to also scoop the overall title. Marcus Gerrard, director at Safetyflex Barriers, said: “We were delighted to win our category which recognises our strong export growth over the last year, and then thrilled to be named ‘Company of the Year’. “Whilst our business has a national and international focus, we are extremely proud of our Coventry roots and so to be recognised by business leaders in our home city is a tremendous honour and great exposure for our industry as a whole.” The ceremony, hosted by broadcaster and presenter Jeremy Vine at the Ricoh Arena, marked the 25th anniversary of the Awards celebrating the success stories of businesses across Coventry andWarwickshire.
