For more details of the sponsorship package email admin@pssasecurity.org . First come, first served! My two years as PSSA Chairman seem to have flown by but thanks to the input from many members, plus my PSSA companions Rob Oliver and Lisa Bainbridge, it is very satisfying to know that the association has made great progress in that time. Our membership numbers are up circa 50%, our finances are much healthier, and our standing in the wider security community is, in my opinion, now greatly enhanced thanks to the projects and initiatives we have worked on together for the betterment of our industry as a whole. The highlight of these is probably the HVMhub project undertaken with support from the Home Office and which now offers a reference point for the various sectors that today need to be involved in considerations related to hostile vehicle mitigation. The next step for HVMhub is to promote it and its associated CPD seminar programme to all relevant parties and I look forward to hearing that you have made further progress with this in the months to come. Finally, I would like to wish your incoming Chairman, Paul Jeffrey, every success in the role and know that with the ongoing support and input from the membership there is much more that the PSSA can accomplish. Good luck and thank you for having me as your Chairman!  Simon Towers From... the incoming Chairman I would firstly like to thank Simon on behalf of the Council and Members for his significant contribution to the Association over the last 2 years with specific regard to his achievements with the JSaRC project and the HVMhub. My initial aim as incoming Chairman is to take what Simon has already begun and develop and extend this for the benefit of all Association members and other industry stakeholders including the extension of the CPD seminar programme. Increasing membership levels and general Association revenues will be high on my agenda over the next couple of years as well as the creation and development of a central advisory service for Association members. Having spent the last 26 years in the barrier manufacturing environment, I am very much looking forward to working on the bigger picture and helping to shape and improve one of the most rapidly developing and important industries.  Paul Jeffrey From... the outgoing Chairman PSSA WELCOMES NEW CHAIRMAN The May Council meeting of the PSSA appointed Paul Jeffrey as the new Chairman of the Association – to succeed Simon Towers who has completed his two year term of office. Paul takes the role on a voluntary and independent basis, having recently left Avon Barrier. He has been a member of the PSSA Council since the formation of the Association in 2009. “Simon will be a hard act to follow. He has done a great job in leading the PSSA, raising our profile and initiating the HVMhub project. Paul became available at just the right time as his wealth of experience provides us with an excellent opportunity to continue to grow and make a difference for our members”. Rob Oliver, Secretary to the Council, PSSA.
