‘World of Perimeter

Security’, in

association with

Allens Total Perimeter

Security, is a world

first for Transport

Security Expo

The World of Perimeter Security is not

just a brand new feature for Transport

Security Expo 2015, it represents a first

for the security industry internationally.

In association with Allens Total

Perimeter Security, the feature will

offer visitors a complete end-to-end

integrated solution to protecting

the perimeter of any critical national

installation. In addition to an interactive

tour combining a video-briefing and a

narrated introduction to such high-end

products as specialist fencing, vehicle

barriers and blockers, bollards, high

security gates, CCTV and intrusion

detection, the tours will culminate in a

Q&A session with the experts.

Peter Jones, CEO of Transport

Security Expo’s organisers, Nineteen

Events, commented:

“We have some 30 international

delegations booked to attend

Transport Security Expo this year and

by creating the World of Perimeter

Security, we’re giving these high level

decision makers a unique opportunity

to view complete perimeter security

solutions in one dedicated area.”

Now in its 13th edition, Transport

Security Expo has become the main

global platform bringing Government,

Industry & Academia together

to counter the threat against our

transportation networks. Sectors

covered by the event include Aviation

Security, Maritime Security, Rail Security,

Major Events Transport Security, Secure

Transportation and Border Security.

Supporting the exhibition will be

a conference programme, designed

in close collaboration with an expert

Advisory Board.

Open to everyone to attend, free of

charge, on a first-come, first-served

basis, the sessions will feature some of

the most renowned opinion leaders in

the industry.

Heald wins approval for innovative

high security bollard

East Yorkshire firmHeald Ltd has been

awarded the UK, European and US patents for

its HT1-Raptor anti-terrorist security barrier.

The innovative system combines the high

security of a roadblocker with the flexibility of

a shallowmounted bollard.

Tested to both PAS68 and ASTM standards,

the HT1-Raptor not only halted a 7.5

tonne truck travelling at 80 kph (50mph)

but continued to function afterwards. It is

the best performing bollard in the world

for halting a vehicle quickly with minimal

downforce, protecting underground services

and structures.

The Raptor can operate as a standalone

unit or in a group to secure an opening of

virtually any size. It requires an excavation

depth of only 500 mm, making for an

extremely fast and easy installation.

Integrating well with modern architecture

while maintaining an imposing presence,

it is ideal for sites where high security is

essential but where contemporary style and

design are also important.

Company director Debbie Heald

commented: “It’s been five years of hard

work in securing the patent for this

innovative product, the brainchild of

our award winning designer Rod Heald,

however we’ve managed it!

“It’s a very proud and exciting day for

the company. We have recently been

awarded three new high profile oversees

contracts for the Raptor, this patent will

help future-proof our efforts in securing

projects in new and exciting markets.”

brand new artificial grass pitch (AGP) thanks to

a £100,000 grant from The Premier League &

The FA Facilities Fund.

Writtle Minors FC near Chelmsford bagged

one of 67 grants totalling £5.8m for the

development of grassroots football facilities.

consistent quality and price.

Limonta Smith JV won the £135,000 project

to provide Writtle Minors FC with a state-of-

the-art all weather pitch, with the old tarmac

play area removed and replaced with a 37m x

30m Limonta Infinity 55 carpet.

Dawn Fencing Limited of Leigh installed Duo8

Super Rebound sports fencing and gates from

Zaun, while easy lift goals, bins and corner flags

gave the pitch a polished professional finish.

Zaun fencing was also employed just down the

road at a new artificial sports pitch and air dome

at Great Baddow High School opened by stars

from Premiership football teamWest HamUnited.

Then Hammers manager Sam Allardyce,

debutant Reece Burke and vice captain and

longest serving current player Mark Noble

opened The Dome, made possible by funding
