Triton Power’s Indiana Queens Power Station Project

Triton Power’s Indiana Queens Power Station Project

17th April 2025 by PSSA Marketing

Case Study from Advanced Perimeter Systems

Proactive Approach:

Triton Power decided to take the proactive approach with their security by implementing an Advanced Perimeter Systems Electro-Fence to their perimeter security measures.
The Advanced Perimeter Systems Electro-Fence provides a 10,000 volt non-lethal shock as well as generating an alarm for any potential intruder. This perimeter security solution is both psychologically and physically intimidating and will stand the test of time.

Bespoke Solution

The Electro-Fence, as well as the CCTV system provides a comprehensive perimeter security solution which will help to protect Triton Powers, Indiana Queens power station for many years to come.
The system was installed by PWP Fire and Security, this site was specifically working with Scada/Datcap which allowed the fence to be fully integrated into the sites current management platform which includes all alarms provided by the fence as well as the ability to arm and disarm the fence remotely.
Triton Power’s Indiana Queens
DataCapture (datacap.co.uk) were asked by Indian Queens Power at St Dennis in Cornwall to extend the existing WebData SCADA system to include their new APS electric fence. DataCapture used a Moxa ioLogik E1213 mounted in each controller enclosure to monitor the dry contacts made available by the APS controllers. The Moxa units are connected over the plant’s industrial Ethernet network to the SCADA system using Modbus TCP. A mimic was added to WebData to show the state of each electric fence zone. Plant staff can now enable and disable the zones remotely and are immediately warned if someone touches or tampers with the fence.
