PSSA Australia
PSSA Australia was started with a clear objective of, “Continuous improvement in the quality and professionalisation of the high security perimeter protection industry. To act not only to support the interests of our member companies involved in the design, supply, and installation of external perimeter protection products but also on behalf of the clients that use their services”.
PSSA Chairman, Paul Jeffrey, visited members of the new Chapter to advise on its formation and possible activities — and he continues to chair Zoom meetings of the Australian Committee. Paul reports, “l am impressed by the enthusiasm of the new group. In the short time they have been going they have made some good contacts with government agencies and other security organisations. They have also formed a marketing sub-committee to develop a forward plan to promote the objectives of the PSSA in the Australia market”.
Next steps for the Chapter include confirmation of its registration as a legally recognised entity with an ABN (Australian Business Number).
The local officers of the Chapter are Troy Donnelly (Ezi Security) who is Vice-Chairman; and Jace Rosier (Australian Security Fencing) is Treasurer.
Troy explains the mission of the organisation, “We are want to tighten up the supply chain for HVM products in Australia to promote reputable companies and using the PSSA guidelines and expectations this will hopefully achieve this. Having only PSSA members, installers and suppliers be the only ones to tender for Government funded projects is our ambition and this starts at the specification stage”.
