A busy autumn for Rosehill Security and its growing range of perimeter security solutions which saw a series of HVM and perimeter security projects across the UK and Europe, including a number of high-profile installations of the company’s Impakt Defender.
Successfully tested to IWA 14 and PAS 68, the Impakt Defender is a surface mounted vehicle security barrier specifically designed to provide protection for crowds of people at events of all kinds – as well as buildings and infrastructure – from hostile vehicle attacks.
Made from recycled rubber, bonded with polyurethane for strength, each Impakt Defender module weighs 430 kg and can be deployed with other Rosehill Security products as part of a turnkey HVM solution.
Recent installations of Rosehill Security’s Impakt Defender include Milton Keynes’ Stadium: MK and Birmingham’s Edgbaston Stadium. As the Impakt Defender is particularly quick and easy to install, remove and relocate, it is an ideal and effective temporary VSB for perimeter security at such events.
With Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium pending completion – and Wembley unavailable – Stadium: MK held the club’s third round Carabao Cup tie against Watford, with Impakt Defenders deployed to ensure the safety of over 23,000 football fans.
Ahead of the international cricket test match between England and India at Edgbaston, Event People deployed the Impakt Defender as part of a security perimeter around the stadium – protecting approximately 75,000 spectators over the course of four days.
Dalton Marshall, Sales Manager at Rosehill Security, said: “These recent installations were a great opportunity to deploy the Impakt Defender at high-profile sporting fixtures, protecting thousands of fans from potential hostile vehicle attacks. The Impakt Defender’s modular design enables it to be deployed almost anywhere and at speed to minimise disruption to the public. We look forward to working with our clients on their HVM and perimeter security requirements in 2019”.
